Dublin 2005

General
Dublin is the Capital City of Ireland. The city is steeped in culture through arts, theatre and folklore. There are many architectural features of interest around the city from Georgian Dublin to the very modern Spire on O'Connell Street.
St. Patrick's Cathedral
Saint Patrick on his journey through Ireland is said to have passed through Dublin. In a well close to where the cathedral now stands, he is reputed to have baptised converts from paganism to Christianity. To commemorate his visit, a small wooden church was built on this site, one of the four Celtic parish churches in Dublin. Most of the pics are crap 'cause it the light in the church was poor and I didn't want to use the flash.
Guiness Storehouse
An incredible journey throughout 250 years of brewing history, discover the pride and passion which goes into making this world-famous beer. Again, crap light so kinda crap photos.
Kilmainham Gaol
One of the largest unoccupied gaols in Europe, covering some of the most heroic and tragic events in Ireland's emergence as a modern nation from 1780s to the 1920s.
Dublin Castle
Dublin Castle is situated in the very heart of historic Dublin. In fact the city gets its name from the Dubh Linn or Black Pool (dubh = black), on the site of the present Castle Gardens and Coach House.
Dalkey
The charming town of Dalkey with its medieval streetscape is attractively situated on the southern end of Dublin bay. It is on the DART line and is half an hour by car from the city centre.
