The Brooklyn Bridge is one of the oldest suspension bridges in the United States. It stretches 5,989 feet (1825 m)over the East River connecting the New York City boroughs of Manhattan and Brooklyn. When it was completed it was the longest suspension bridge in the world.
The Brooklyn Bridge has a wide pedestrian walkway open to walkers and cyclists, in the center of the bridge and higher than the automobile lanes. These photos are taken from that walkway.
