The 'e' mark

The little 'e' stands for estimate. It means that the stuff in the tin weighs/measures what it says outside give or take a bit. Its an EU regulation.

Even the size of the 'e' is standardised. So maybe there should be an 'e' on the 'e' . . . to say that the size of the 'e' is approximately correct.

Ticket Touting

Learned a few things about ticket touting yesterday.

1. It is illegal for touts to sell tickets but not to buy them! But they plan to make it illegal to buy the tickets as well.

2. If you wait until 5 minutes after the gig starts, you can get tickets off touts for next to nothing.

I've learnt these compliments of the BBC!

The thing that still puzzles me though is how will they be able to distinguish between me (who wants a pair of tickets to actually SEE the gig) and a tout who is going to sell them on at a profit?

The other thing is that with the number of ticket touts I see outside every gig  (and I go to a fair few); I didn't even know there was a law against it!

Go figure!
